The problem

Your operational technology spend is usually not the problem. The ownership of it is. Nobody on your site has the OT call as their only job, so it gets made by whoever is loudest in the room, and that is normally the party with a product to move.

What that costs you

A vendor writes a contract about what it will build. You sign a contract about what you need to keep running. Those are two different documents wearing the same cover, and the space between them is where good systems go to die, about six months after launch.

So tools get bought that do not survive contact with the site. Contracts get signed with seams nobody is accountable for. The systems that were supposed to talk to each other do not, and the data that would tell you why sits inside a machine where nobody can use it.

A single comms event has cost a Pilbara mine over a million tonnes in a quarter. The fix is rarely a new vendor. It is someone fluent in both the technology and the reality of running a site.

Senior ownership of the operational technology for a site that has nobody whose only job is the OT call. We own the roadmap, sit across vendor selection and hold the decisions that need someone unconflicted.

You get an OT roadmap, a decisions record, and vendor scorecards you can act on.

Vendor and contract review

Before you sign, or while a program is drifting. We read the agreement against what your site actually needs, find the seams nobody is accountable for, and tell you what to change.

You get a seam register: what each party is accountable for in writing, and the clauses that need to move.

Making the OT deliver

Oversight of an implementation from decision to daily use. Integration across equipment and systems that were never designed to talk, the data quality that decides whether any of it pays, and the handover to the people who run it.

We sell no hardware and hold no reseller agreements, so there is no second revenue line in any recommendation we make. We are paid by the operation and only by the operation, the fee is visible in the engagement letter, and every engagement carries a defined exit in its scope. We charge to tell you what you need, then you buy it from whoever you want, and where the cheaper option is the right one that is what we will say.

Autonomous haulage at fleet scale

Our people held engineering ownership of the offboard systems behind 120 autonomous road trains and 50 light vehicles, across five separate equipment platforms made to run as one system. Production, not a trial. The hard part was never a single machine; it was making equipment from different makers, and the systems behind them, behave as one fleet and stay that way.

A fleet management system that actually paid

Our people owned the implementation end to end: install and configuration, the vendor held to training, fault diagnostics and upgrades, and the data quality corrected until short interval control could be run off it. Dispatch and operators were trained to own it afterwards. The install is the easy half; the data and the people are what decide whether a system earns its cost.

Keeping critical systems available

Our people ran continual availability of digital radio and wireless telemetry, and support across fleet management, autonomous haulage and autonomous drill systems. Proactive monitoring and event management through incidents, upgrades and change, working with site operations rather than around them.

Site-wide operational technology lead

Western Australian lithium, producing operation

Our people led all new operational technology on the site: surface voice communications and wireless telemetry upgraded, a ground support safety pilot run, and the integration, documentation and training built around it. Including the call to fix a failing precision GPS foundation before hanging a wireless mesh and a second antenna off the same machines. If a part is not earning its place, it does not go on.
